Since it opened in 1923, Hwayang Farmers’ Market, which operates every five days, has played a central role in the trade of the Hwayang region. The market is mainly used as a meeting place for the residents of Hwayang. The market is well known for Cheongdo Bansi (seedless persimmon) and Cheongdo peaches.
